Meet Dr. Om Prakash Bera
Fighting for Cardiovascular Health in India
Dr. Bera is the India in-country coordinator for our Global Health Advocacy Incubator’s cardiovascular health program. He works closely with a diverse coalition of medical and civil society partners to develop and implement programs that improve heart health and nutrition in underserved communities. Dr. Bera is a public health expert with rich experience in policy advocacy and project management. He collaborates with a variety of regional and national government officials and has published in international scientific journals on a range of public health issues, including nutrition, non-communicable diseases, tobacco control, tuberculosis, epidemic management and big-data disease analytics.
The biggest fight for me is to bridge the gap and deliver services for the betterment of all communities.
