Fighting for healthier food policies in Brazil
Paula is the co-founder and director of ACT Health Promotion, a Brazilian coalition of over a thousand members and a partner of our Global Health Advocacy Incubator's food policy program. ACT was created in 2003 to support the implementation of the World Health Organization’s Framework Convention on Tobacco Control treaty in Brazil. Since 2013, they have expanded their work to include non-communicable diseases. ACT is also one of the leading organizations of the Brazilian Alliance for Healthy and Adequate Food, formed in 2016. Paula is the former chair of the Board of Directors of the Framework Convention Alliance, former Board Member of the NCD Alliance, and currently a Board Member of the Global Alcohol Policy Alliance and an Ashoka Fellow.
I’m fighting to create stronger and more effective food policies and more equal healthy food systems in Brazil.
