Stand With Us
December 21, 2011
As we look ahead to 2012, we are more confident than ever that we can continue to beat back Big Tobacco’s continuing effort to hook a new generation of smokers by targeting kids.
Why? Because in the past year, we have:
- Supported proven strategies that have helped drive youth and adult smoking rates in the U.S. to the lowest levels on record
- Fought the tobacco industry’s efforts to block new, graphic warning labels on cigarette packs
- Mobilized tens of thousands of fans and public health advocates to win historic limits on the use of smokeless tobacco in Major League Baseball
- Committed to help curb tobacco use among military families by assisting First Lady Michelle Obama’s Joining Forces initiative to support service members and their families
- Helped expose the tobacco industry’s relentless marketing of cigarettes in the United States and around the world, and its record of political interference in nations seeking to protect their citizens’ health
In the year ahead, we will continue to stand between millions of kids and tobacco companies that want to addict them.
Will you stand with us?
Please help us reach and exceed our goal of raising $25,000 to help protect kids and save lives.
